Democracy and the UN
The International Day of Democracy will be observed around the world on 15 September. This will be the third commemoration of the Day in accordance with General Assembly resolution 62/7 of 8 November 2007 entitled “Support by the United Nations system of the efforts of Governments to promote and consolidate new or restored democracies”.Forthcoming events
